SERIGRAPHY
Serigraphy is where Kolibri’s reputation was built. We have produced editions using as few as 1 screen and as many as 100 individually separated layers, each mixed, registered, and printed with extreme precision. Our master printers isolate each tone and texture to achieve depth, richness, and character that digital processes cannot replicate.
Artists choose Kolibri for serigraphy when they need:
Multi-layer, hand-crafted color
Premium inks with exceptional permanence
Meticulous registration and consistency across editions
A partner who understands how to translate artwork into layered print form
From bold contemporary pieces to detail-rich illustrations, our serigraphy process elevates fine art to collector-grade quality.

SPECIALTY FINISHES & VARNISHES
Kolibri offers a wide range of hand-applied finishes and advanced varnish techniques that add dimension and specificity to an artwork. These finishing layers can define light, deepen color, or create texture that transforms a print into a distinct collector piece. The finishes and varnishes are applied to Gicleé prints for enhancement, distinction, and originality, or as part of a serigraph edition for new creative differentiation or a high accuracy of reproduction - for example, replicating the artist’s brush strokes with texture varnish.
Our specialty options include:
Gloss, matte, and satin varnishes
Spot varnish for depth and highlights
Metallic and pearlescent effects
Multi-layer finishes for sculpted texture
Protective coatings for longevity
These enhancements give both serigraphy and giclée prints a striking, finished presence that is unmatched and unique.
LEGACY
For more than three decades, Kolibri has been a trusted partner to many of the most respected names in the art world. From early collaborations with major international publishers such as Halcyon Fine Art Group (Washington Green & Castle Fine Art), Chase Art, Chalk & Vermilion/Martin Laurence Galleries, and Fine Art Publishing to long-standing relationships with celebrated artists including Dr. Seuss Enterprises, The Artist Shag (Josh Agle), Eyvind Earle, Peter Ellenshaw, Romero Britto, Howard Behrens, and countless painters, illustrators, and contemporary creators. Kolibri has played a role in bringing some of the world’s most recognized imagery to life.
During this time, Kolibri became one of the leading studios for high-end serigraphy and fine-art reproduction, earning hundreds of national and international printing awards. Our editions have been praised for their innovation, craftsmanship, and technical complexity, from multi-layer color separations exceeding 100 screens to intricate custom finishes and varnish techniques unique to Kolibri.
Our mission remains the same today: to blend old-world artisanal techniques with cutting-edge printing technology, honoring the craft while continually pushing its boundaries.
