Pastel originals can be reproduced on canvas for a totally different feel. And we've heard many times from our customers that they have a hard time telling their original from the canvas giclee!

PAPER GICLEE
Watercolor, pastel artists and photographers alike have discovered the beauty and marketability of fine art paper giclees (also called watercolor paper giclees). Rich, saturated colors; deep dark tones and finely nuanced light tones; and the look and feel of an actual watercolor or pastel painting. The possibilities for fine art paper giclees are endless.
We offer two types of fine art papers to which we calibrate all of our equipment to achieve the best quality:

Mould-made of 100% cotton, this natural white paper yields exceptional depth of color with a velvety texture. The surface of the paper becomes an inherent part of the finished print, without overwhelming the image. Somerset Enhanced was one of the first inkjet fine art papers to address the needs of artists nearly 10 years ago. Perfect for limited editions demanding a consistent art feel. Somerset comes in the 46" x 35" size only, orders can be printed in various sizes or even 2-up/4-up to get the most out of the sheet. Made in the U.K.
Museo Textured Rag 285 GSM
A delightfully textured, 100% cotton mold-made paper, acid free, reminiscent of old world cold press watercolor paper, provides added character and distinction. It has been enhanced with an ink receptive layer that brings your images to life and made to archival standards. Elegance Velvet Vellum 310 GSM
Mould made of 100% cotton, bright white archival paper, and is acid and lignin free. It has a vellum surface (lightly textured). There is no minimum print, since this substrate comes in roll we can accommodate any size without limit to the end. Made in the U.S.A.
GICLEE FINISHES
Kolibri Art Studio is able to offer you many additional possibilities not otherwise available from other giclee printers.
We finish our giclées (even the proofs) with a one-of-a-kind serigraph press process UV varnish, the same ones applied on serigraph editions (gloss, satin or matte) when appropriate and to provide longevity and deeper colors.
We usually recommend and varnish all our canvas giclees, as standard. For paper giclées we can offer over-all varnish or image only varnish. The margins will be left open, showing the paper for signatures and numberings.
Our signature finish varnish is the so called texture varnish, whereby we do an over-all UV satin varnish and serigraph varnish it again as textured. This process requires the artist decision where the stoke or the selected areas would fall, based on this, we make the custom film and create the screen for an outstanding stroke effect with glossy UV varnish.
With this unique serigraph-press over print we able to blend giclée and serigraph into the same project for richer prints without limit to the brilliance of colors, fluorescents, pearlescent, metallic, glitters and textures. The addition of these enhancements will greatly add value and marketability to giclees.
